The Department of Defense has issued a final rule that makes a technical amendment to the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement. The rule amends DFARS 215.300 to add a reference to a March 4, 2011, memorandum, Department of Defense Source Selection Procedures, issued by the Director, Defense Procurement and Acquisition Policy (http://www.acq.osd.mil/dpap/policy/policyvault/USA007183-10-DPAP.pdf). The memorandum provides mandatory requirements for conducting competitively negotiated acquisitions under FAR Part 15 and outlines a common set of principles and procedures. The effective date of the rule is March 11, 2011, and it applies to all solicitations for competitive, negotiated acquisitions issued after July 1, 2011. For the text of the rule, see ¶70,016.629.
